Lost Coin notes October 7

Business:

Next week, Tuesday October 14th ? Daniel will be away. Some suggested we meet, if sunny, at Liberty Park, in the grassy area in the north west area of the park. Cindy offered to meet at her office if the weather is poor; however, since then, I see Elena has offered to meet at her office. I think we need some confirmation.

Daniel mentioned the possibility of purchasing a house for Lost Coin use. A follow up letter describing this opportunity will be forthcoming.

Discussion?

The ?I?s are divisions of us. At any given time, one ?I? is running the show. Look at the ?I? running the show. You don?t always see the different ?I?s, nor realize that they change.

Best way to grow is to choose the ?I? as CEO that is best to lead the company. Practice getting the Master back from vacation, the Master that knows who you really are. The ?I? in charge leads, is the administrator, deciding what you do and what your priorities are.

The ideal ?I? to have in charge is the one that is interested in your development, and then takes care of all ?I?s, and knows that the most important thing is now. This is not only conceptual, but always involves a focus on the present.

How do you get this ?I? to be in charge? Discipline. Discipline that comes from you deciding to do something because you want it. Monastery life not really the same kind of discipline because it is a lifestyle set up for you.

Feed the ?I? that is interested in your development. Read books that inspire. Spend time with people that inspire. Read about people who are the best or very good at things. Don?t feed the other ?I?s as much. It does take continuous energy/effort to have this discipline.

This overriding ?I? is good in any situation. This ?I? wants the challenge, is present in concentration/focus, is present, not intellectual, wants to do whatever you do as best you can.

It is always a conscious choice to stay awake. Can both be talented, cruising and yet see more when in this ?I?. No reason to make a choice unless you have a goal. To be happy where you are, you have to be where you are. Pushing oneself is a way of staying awake. Push yourself or you stay the same.

Listen. Notice.

Consciousness and excellence are not the same. Excellence can exist without consciousness. Consciousness breeds excellence.

Focus on the things that wake you up. If you want to wake up, look at everything. If conscious, one leans towards the real. By putting your head in the sand, you will not avoid stuff from coming up. Even being ordinary requires consciousness. The truly ordinary person is truly extraordinary.
